Waiting for a Bluebell Drip

Hello lovely crafters, just dropping by with a quick post. As the weather has been lovely l have been spending quiet a bit of time outside enjoying the sunshine. The garden is full of spring colour and it is nice to just sit and enjoy and listen to the birds singing. Apparently the ospreys have returned for the breeding season and have been spotted down in the bay, the males looking for the biggest fish to try and attract a female.......

We live out in the countryside and internet has always been an issue with speeds between 1&3, fibre has come through the village and we opted in and now have average speed of 122 I have one happy husband, its the little things in life.

On to my card- this is a sweet House mouse stamp and l kept the design simple.

Rosie Posie

Hello lovely crafters, l have a sweet card to share with you today. This adorable stamp is called Rosie Posie by LOTV, my grandaughter is called Rosie and l thought it would be nice to have some crafty time together so we both made a card with the same stamp.

I volunteer in my daughters school 2 afternoons a week, monday we are crafting and making book marks using embossing folders, colouring with chalks and adding gems - the small groups enjoyed this. They will have one book mark to keep for a family member and one each to send to a school they link with in Uganda. Today - Tuesday - is gardening and we planted 3 varieties of tomatoes and then they each had a pot for sunflower seeds....happy days.

I have been very busy in the garden recently too, l gave myself a target of getting all my outdoor jobs and and ready for the year ahead by end of march, l am only a few days behind schedule so feeling pretty pleased. A bit of weeding in one border to do and a bit of veg garden to dig over then done. All grass has had a cut so off to a good start.

As from next week l am dropping a shift at work, down from 4 to 3 then next march retiring. So many people say l will be bored....l can assure them l won't have time to be bored.

So here is the lovely Rosie

House Mouse You Did It

Hello, hope you are all well. After last weeks 'warmer' weather, temperatures have dropped again. Bulbs are popping through all over the garden with snowdrops almost finished, crocus at their best, daffodils beginning to show colour and tulips poking their noses through. Good things to come.

The card l am sharing today is for a friend who has lost a massive amount of weight to reach her target weight, she has done amazing.  I hope she likes it, l have had it a long time and it is the first time l have used it.

Never easy to get a good photo of an easel card. I added glamour dust to the bunny tail but it didn't look right so l found my flower soft and that looks better .

Thorny Affair

Hope everyone is keeping well. In have been having a little play in my craft room as well as spending a lot of time out in the garden. I grew some delphiniums from seed last year and have planted those out today as well as some more tidying up. Spring is on its way and the bulbs are all coming through, its a lovely time of year and great to be able to get outdoors.

So onto the card, this PB stamp is just perfect for a CAS card and a joy to colour, the sentiment is also from a PB Transparent set

PBSC challenge My third consecutive week of posting, think l am on a role.  I am enjoying being back in my craft room, if l limit it to one card a week that is more manageable for me at the moment.

Those who know me well will know l love my PB's and have a nice collection, l found this one which is perfect for the challenge currently running over at Allsorts. I pulled a couple of dies out and dug deep into one of my paper boxes and picked this one out, l thought l had a christmas one with music sheets on but could not find it only to find it a few days later when it was all stuck down.

Lavinia Pine Tree

It has been an awful long time since l have been in my craft room but l am determined to get back. The most difficult thing so far has been to get access to my blog and then to remember what to do next, this is going to take time to do.

I have used this lovely tree stamp from Lavinia that has sat unused for about a year on my desk as well as little Pippin also from Lavinia. I used distress inks to create the background, Inktense pencils for the tree and a good dusting of glamour dust as well as frantage to create the snow, sentiment and a little bow to finish it off.

I am keeping this very simple and will attempt to enter a challenge - so here goes.

Edit - update ... well that took some sorting but l manages to enter 2 challenges and eventually link them.

Red Squirrel

Hello my lovely crafty friends ....where does time go ? My intentions were to at least post once a week but l have failed miserably.

I am in the last few days of my 3 weeks holiday from work, as my holiday away did not happen l had so many plans of what l was going to do......l failed miserably at that too.

I have learnt how to list on a well known selling site though and had a few sales, l am selling some of my used stash as it is ridiculous they amount of stuff l have.

Today l had my first covid vaccination and so far so good l feel fine

I have bought some Lavinia stamps to add to my collection and as always when l get new stamps l like to use them and catalogue them. The new challenge at Allsorts is to use yellow so l looked on my desk to see what would work, not too sure of the yellow glow for the sun but am happy with everything else. I even got the old brayer out for the background, fortunately it is rubber/plastic so has not rusted from lack of use. Hope you like it.

Love the little red squirrel and we are lucky to have them visit our garden.

Christmas Love Birds

Hello my lovely crafty friends. Another busy week for me with not much time for crafting. I have some new stamps waiting on my desk for a play just need to find some free time, hopefully over the next week or so.

We had a heavy snowfall on tuesday this week, the most since we moved here over 4 years ago. On my way home from work in the early hours of thursday morning temperatures plummeted to -12 so it has been verrrry cold, today has been much warmer and the snow is almost gone. It has been lovely to see the children out sledging, people enjoy the outdoors up here with so much free space.

This is a card l have managed this week and l just love this stamp and another one for the christmas box.

Skating Along

Hello my lovely crafty friends, hope you are all keeping safe and well. We have been lucky with the weather today compared to much of the UK, a very crisp day but no fresh snow just the dusting from a few days ago.

My dog loves in his walks in the snow and yesterday the woodland over the road looked so pretty. Don't think l would manage skates these days so donned my wellies and warm jacket.

I am loving being back in my craft room, today l have been getting inky and l will share those another day but today this image is just perfect.

Christmas 1920

Here l am again. survived my first post in a long time and made it back into the craft room.  Had a bit of a struggle with my last post as the settings on blogger have changed a bit so l need to get back with the times. Think l should have a bit of time looking at my old favourites as well as Brenda has told me Penny Black and More is no more but is now Chocolate Baroque and l don't have a single one of their stamps, although if my memory is correct they are the reinvented  Elusive Images - l could be wrong and am sure someone will let me know on that one.

I am hoping to get on with my christmas cards as for the first time in years l had to send out bought ones which is ridiculous given the amount of stash l have.

This is another of those unused stamps on my desk and l thought l would keep it simple, l had a colour in mind so next was to choose the papers and as the image has baubles hanging from her tinsel l pulled some bauble dies to complete it.

Alium Panel

Hello. It is almost a year since l have posted. l started with good intentions last year then went on holiday then lockdown happened and l was not sure how l would get home, thankfully l did get home safely. We all know the rest, our entire worlds were turned upside down. My next holiday did not happen so changed to july this year but now thinking easter 2022 will be safer. Anyway enough doom and gloom, l am relieved to say everyone is safe in the family and looking forward to the day we have some normality.

I have been having a secret little peep around blogland over the last week and thought it was time to blow the dust off my desk in the craft room and have a play. For a bit of inspiration l looked at the Allsorts challenge as they always have a good challenge set by the team. I bought this stamp from a friend last year along with a few others that are currently on my desk waiting to be used.
