Do NOT try this at Home

Just popping in to tell you about my mishap.  On sunday l settled in my chair ready to do some catching up and commenting on my lappy - l realised the battery was low so hubby went upstairs to get my charger - he even plugged it in for me.
I could not understand why the screen kept shutting off - until l checked the 'charger' it was the electric cable for my cricut ...whoops.... too late the damage was done. I think it has blown quite a few important parts.

My brother in law is an expert at repair so off  l trotted to his house yesterday. After running a few tests he decided it was probably the hard drive... off l trotted again up the road the road to CCL (luckily in our village) and bought the new hard drive and left it with BIL.  It is still not working today and it may be the graphics chip ....ouch. More tests are ongoing.

So big apologies for not doing the rounds - l am on the main house desk top which l don't like and my hubby's old laptop is rubbish too.  I did not back up my files and they may not be able to be retrieved so l am not a happy bunny :(

Hope l can upload my card for Allsorts on saturday as it is our birthday celebrations x

Christening Day

Hope you have all had a good weekend whatever you have been up to.  I managed a bit crafting as the weather has not been too good for gardening. - My greenhouse is bursting at the seams and when l went in this morning to open the door l did a little routine check and can you believe a snail has helped itself a couple of my swede seedlings, l looked under seed trays and found it - lets just say it won't be fine dining in my greenhouse again.

Anyway l am here to share a card l made for my grandaughter Grace's christening which was today - our family is a bit complicated (hubby's daughter's baby)/ Grace has four Grandma's.
A story to tell..... l met my hubby 22 years ago, l was out with a friend as he was with his friend Bob and he has not seen his friend since soon after we met - until today at the christening. Bob's son is the father of Grace now isn't that amazing.

A peep in the garden

Hello my lovelies l don't have a card to share today - pop back tomorrow for that. What a mixed week of weather we have had - bank holiday monday was glorious and l spent the whole day outdoors. In the morning l planted my cabbages in the allotment and the afternoon spent pottering in the garden at home - l even sat out until almost 10pm to enjoy the garden. Then came the wind and rain to batter the garden.
I went to the theatre on wednesday to see Jersey Boys on my own and loved every minute of it, my seat was right at the front in the centre - the songs are still whizzing around my head. If it is coming to a theatre near you go along you will enjoy it.

I thought l would take a few pics of some of my garden plants in the back garden.

This daffodil is a single stem, multi headed and very fragrant one called Winston Churchill.
Ohhh l wish you could all smell this one. Isn't it a beauty.

Lots of plants here including these beautiful white tulips l added last autumn. The white clematis a recent bargain from Aldi it is called Miss Bateman and has beautiful while flowers, it is growing up a white lilac.

This Dicentra (bleeding heart)
comes good every year

I have the Alba (white) variety too and it has lovely lime green foliage

I have lived in my house 19 years and this beautiful acer was already growing and this is the first year l have noticed it has some blossom whne the leaves are opening.

This camellia is called Debbie and the blooms are almost finished now, l have trained it to a standard and it must have had over a hundred blooms.

This clematis is called Vyvenn Purnell - another recent purchase and is a double. I have grown this before many years ago but lost it. I have put it in a pot for the time being.

A close up of Clematis Miss Bateman

As the sun is shining today l am going to sign off now and go outdoors. Just as well that none of the family are allergic to dust lol
Have a good weekend x Susan x
