A peep in the garden

Hello my lovelies l don't have a card to share today - pop back tomorrow for that. What a mixed week of weather we have had - bank holiday monday was glorious and l spent the whole day outdoors. In the morning l planted my cabbages in the allotment and the afternoon spent pottering in the garden at home - l even sat out until almost 10pm to enjoy the garden. Then came the wind and rain to batter the garden.
I went to the theatre on wednesday to see Jersey Boys on my own and loved every minute of it, my seat was right at the front in the centre - the songs are still whizzing around my head. If it is coming to a theatre near you go along you will enjoy it.

I thought l would take a few pics of some of my garden plants in the back garden.

This daffodil is a single stem, multi headed and very fragrant one called Winston Churchill.
Ohhh l wish you could all smell this one. Isn't it a beauty.

Lots of plants here including these beautiful white tulips l added last autumn. The white clematis a recent bargain from Aldi it is called Miss Bateman and has beautiful while flowers, it is growing up a white lilac.

This Dicentra (bleeding heart)
comes good every year

I have the Alba (white) variety too and it has lovely lime green foliage

I have lived in my house 19 years and this beautiful acer was already growing and this is the first year l have noticed it has some blossom whne the leaves are opening.

This camellia is called Debbie and the blooms are almost finished now, l have trained it to a standard and it must have had over a hundred blooms.

This clematis is called Vyvenn Purnell - another recent purchase and is a double. I have grown this before many years ago but lost it. I have put it in a pot for the time being.

A close up of Clematis Miss Bateman

As the sun is shining today l am going to sign off now and go outdoors. Just as well that none of the family are allergic to dust lol
Have a good weekend x Susan x

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely garden Susan. Like Brenda's yours seems to be well ahead of mine. My Clematis (I have several adorning various objects!!) are still tight in bud and the only thing that has appeared is the abundance of Aquilegia that have reseeded year after year. It's been too cold to put any baskets or tubs out but that does look set to change next week so fingers crossed it will wake everything up!! xx
