My First Gruffie

Hello my lovelies, hope you are all keeping well and surviving this dreadful weather that is battering us here in the UK.  We escaped without damage during the gales yesterday, my daughter lost power for about 4 hours last night but thankfully it came back on later in the evening.

I  wanted to join in with the House Mouse challenge so l have had a  little play with one of the stamp sets l bought reduced from Joanna Sheen's a couple of weeks ago - this is my first Gruffie set and l am not 100% happy with my colouring but hayhoo it is the first attempt, what do you think??? I have added a little purple stickles to the lilacs - love the perfume of these, l have a white tree in the garden but it is not as scented.

Inside View

Stamp Set Gruffies Thanks a Bunch from Joanna Sheen
Coloured with copics and prisma pencils
Papers Do Crafts Papermania/Heather
Lace, seam binding, buttons

It's beautiful Susan your colouring looks fab. I love lilac so much, I have a white and lilac tree in my garden but last year the white one looked like it had died, I am hoping it comes back this year. Susan x

This is so pretty and I think your coloring looks grand. Nice shading going on for Gruffie. Love the lilacs, and they do smell divine. We have a very old bush (transplanted & miraculously it survived). Love that lace, and you reminded me to hunt for some that I think is in the sewing area. Hope the rain stops for you UK folks. I'm seeing some flooding on the news and that is so dreadful for the poor residents. Seems like there's bad weather of some kind everywhere. TFS such a sweet & delightful card. I think it's just lovely. Stay safe. Hugs

I think this came out very nice. I love your glittered edges and your bows/buttons and lace. All of these help to bring out your darling image. I had a lilac bush that never really grew past 5 branches so I finally dug it up. Your flowers on your card look much better than mine did in real life. Thank you so much for playing along with us here at House Mouse & Friends. Hope your weather improved in the UK. We here in New England are experiencing some terrible weather also. Enjoy your weekend.
