Penny Black Christmas

Hello everyone, sorry l have been neglecting my visits over the last week.  I have not had any time in my craft room - Toby is keeping me very busy and we are getting to know each other :) he is absolutely adorable, l am constantly following him around in hope he does not have little accidents,  puppy training mats down for him to use and he is still getting used to them. It should be so much easier when he is old enough to go out for walkies.

I made this card a few weeks ago as a mid way reminder for Penny Black and More at Allsorts - the challenge this month is Any Die Will Do and you still have a bit of time to join in if you have not already, we have lots of prizes up for grabs from our very generous sponsors and if you fancy a chance as guest designer just put GD after your name on your entry.

Yee Haa

Hope you are all having a good weekend. Mine has been very hectic so l am just having a little me time and catching up as well as showing you a card l made last night for my grandson's birthday in December - they have recently got a puppy, he is all black and given the chance Jacob would lasso him and pull him around all day so this is a perfect image for him.  I bought the stamp in March and it has been waiting for ink along with a few other stamps. Got the Cricut out to cut the start and number - it has been gathering dust on top of the bookcase for ages, l should use it more often. I have distressed all the paper edges with a blade thingy l bought a while back but not sure if l like the effect,.

Geisha Girl

Hope you are all enjoying a crafty weekend.  We had a cold start to the day as our boiler was playing up, it was only serviced 2 weeks ago  - fortunately we have it on a service contract and BG came out this morning.
Last night l had a little electric heater to keep me warm in my craft room and l even considered sleeping in there lol. Today's card has been 2 days in the making as l faffed about till l was happy with it. When l made the other LOTV Geisha Girl card a couple of weeks ago l found loads of oriental things in my stash including this gorgeous bamboo stamp by Judikins that l have had ages and never used - perfect for backgrounds. I added lots of flowers which are mostly from WOC including a poppy for rememberance, l bought these when they first had them available and l have just kept looking at them and stroking them as they are gorgeous.
So here is the card:-

Stamps Lotv Cho with Parasol, Bamboo from Judikins
Coloured with copics and prisma pencils

Remembering

This weekend we remember all the brave people that have lost their lives serving their countries over the years and protecting each one of us.  Bless You All and Thank You x
Quite a few challenges have been set recognising this, l had a play with the ink dusters last night to make this simple card.  I lightly dusted the red square, then cut a circle to cover centre then inked darker around the square, then used the square with circle cut out to mask for stamping in the circle, does that make sense?

Stamp - Lavinia
Ink pads - Adirondack
Sentiment SU
Ribbon

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Simon Says Stamp - Thinking of You
Creative Inspirations 188 - Red for Remembrance
Cute Card Thursday - 242 - Sketch  (not cute but does follow sketch ok in rules)

Thank you for stopping by and your comments are always appreciated - happy crafting x Susan x

In the Beginning There Was........

A leaflet that came through the door advertising the opening of Hobbycraft in Leeds - so l thought l would have a drive over and see what it was all about..... I bought a little kit to make Easter cards with the children
Here it is along with the internet print out dated 6/3/2005

and that must have been a very expensive day as ££££££££££'s later l needed a room to put my stash in
This is the new shelving unit and desk top l bought from Ikea recently, this houses my stamps, inks and bits...

These boxes have stamps in  - all are catalogued  in the leeds united folders so l know where to find them, the boxes under my desk are mostly stamps not yet used.
This tall bookcase is home for most of my papers, card and blanks

These big drawers from Ikea  have 'stuff' ' on top and 'stuff'' inside including flowers.....................

Oh yes l have even more flowers....These plastic drawers have flowers l mostly use and are colour labelled
 #
So this is where l hang out most evenings and when l get some free time. l even have a little space on my desk  for my G&T or glass of wine - l get room service too my hubby brings it up for me, that way he gets to watch sport every night on TV undisturbed lol  x Susan x
