Preparing for Christmas Fayre

Sorry l have not been around looking at your amazing blogs this weeks but have been very busy and advance apologies if l don't get around to you over the next two coming weeks. I have been working like crazy getting ready for the Christmas Fayre at my daughters school on the 26th November. It is the first time l have ever done one - and all the proceeds l am donating to Martin House Childrens Hospice. On my last post l told you l had approached a local company asking if they would kindly help by supporting me and they said yes - well the generous company is Craftwork Cards and WOW was l surprised, they sent me a box with card blanks and lots of die cuts and matching papers and of course some card candi. My daughter thought it would be great if l could make some mini kits of "make your own cards" and Craftwork card came to the rescue, l have been cutting papers to card size and making kit bags up, punching corners out adding foam squares for the candi and all the children need is glue and glitter, l made up cards to show what could be made too - just hope they go down a treat, l put a little slip in each pack to say the items were very generously donated by Craftwork cards too and who knows we may have some new crafters out there. Also made choc treat bags and lots of other things - hope to have time to show you more. As well as this l have had a few orders to do too - all for my fundraising, my bit of payback for all they did for our son.
Anyway here are a couple of cards l have made earlier this week with boxes too.
Thanks for stopping by Susan x

Ooo what a fabby idea, to do boxes so the kids can 'make their own cards', if i weren't a cardmaker, i would have bought one off of you.

I should have guessed it was Craftwork cards, as they are now only 5 mins drive from FIL's house - but how good of them to send you some stuff too, Luv Sam x

Hi Susan

It sounds like you are very, very busy .. .. your makes here are so lovely.

I love the sound of the little card kits. What a fabby idea and how kind and generous of Craftwork Cards to help you in this way.

No problem in you doing cards like my snowflake one .. .. in fact anything that looks suitable for you I would be more than happy for you to use in your fundraising.

I wish you good luck with it all .. . .and speedy fingers for making everything.

Love Jules xx
