Cupcake Craft Challenge entry

Good evening to all my blogging friends out there. Yet another busy day with our two youngest grandchildren - these thursdays and mondays sure come around quickly lol. Tomorrow is clean up and recovery day and lets hope this weekend will be bright and dry and we can have some more outside time.

I have just spent some time looking around some blog challenges to see if l could enter this card into any and have decided to do just one, sometimes when l look on blogs they have long lists of challenges and l often think it must take ages checking through them all or do they make a card to fit them all???

The card - this is one of my fav colour combinations, when l was making it all l could think of was neopolitan ice cream - how sad am l.

LOTV image stamped and coloured with copics.

Punched flowers with pearl pen centers.

Stickles

Stampin Up Ribbon

Mothers Day Sentiment

Die cut Tag then punched end (bit like a magnolia one now but only £14 for 4 sizes)

I am entering this card into Cup Cake Craft Challenge 135/Flowers for Mum

Another with that stamp!

Hope you are all having a good week. A bit under the weather today, l woke with a migraine at 5 this morning and just managed to get up briefly to ask hubby to do school run and then back to bed for me until lunchtime. Plenty of rest liquids and paras and am back fighting fit - well enough to go to Zumba tonight, it is a good laugh and a bit of exercise at the same time. If anyone is thinking of going you will enjoy it.

The card

I love this stamp Penny Black flower amongst flowers and coloured it with SU markers. The background is also a SU large stamp Polka Dots - l am loving doing my own backgrounds as l can colour match perfectly.

A bit of ribbon and sparkle and hey presto card done. Happy Mothers Day!

I have also made this in a pink colourway but think l prefer the blue.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge wk 144

Another beautiful day today but as we have had our littles for the day we have not been out in the garden but l did have a really good day yesterday with lots of tidying up. I love this time of year when all the different spring bulbs are at there best. The hour time difference is good too once l have recovered form less sleep.

The card - l am entering this into the Penny Black Saturday challenge and this week it is recycling. Some time ago the lovely Kerry on DoCrafts used brown wrapping paper on her cards and it looked fab and last week my hubby had a scrap left from a parcel and l thought hum that may come in useful so here it is. I was not sure on the card when it was finished and thought it may be destined for the bin but it has grown on me as the day has worn on.

Image - Flower Amongst flowers, stamped using SU write markers.

Recycled bit - brown paper stamped with SU Polka Dots.

Scrap of dark brown paper?

Sentiment SU - swirl stamp found on my desk ?

Pearl pen.

My Harrogate Goodies

Well l had a great day and spent far more than l should have. Started off with a workshop at Craftwork Cards with Julie Hickey, they have some fab new papers so l had to have some. Then headed over to Lili Of The Valley before the doors opened to the crowds and it was very civilised - bought the sentiment clear packs and several stamps, when l passed later in the day they were standing 4/5 deep all the way around. The Grand Calibra - well l was not going to buy this (so l told my friend Julie) but it jumped out at me and made me buy it had to ring Julie first to check if it was a good price lol. Then of course l needed a large set of nesties to try it out and well my list just goes on. I had a very good day as you can see from the photo so if anyone wants to send me a card for my birthday tomorrow stuffed with cash (I did actually see a stall selling wads of fake £20's to put in cards) l would be very grateful lol and so would my hubby if he knew how much l spent.

But on the positive l did not buy - christmas, hedgehogs or lots of ribbons and for those who know me they are my weakness. x Susan x
