Allsorts Challenge 290/291

Hope you are all having a good weekend. Christmas is almost here, the house has had its annual festive makeover, the food is under control, pressies wrapped, a couple of cards still to do then l can relax and enjoy. Hope all your plans are coming together.
Saturday again and that means the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week my lovely teamie Helene is the host and she has chosen
Last Minute Gifts

The design team have some amazing inspiration to share with you over on the challenge here along with all the details.  This challenge will run for two weeks.
If you are like me you buy these calender tabs every year and never use them...well this year is different as l am determined to use them all.  I made the base with go Kreate Frilly #2 frames and the flowers are made with a Marianne die LR0162.  I have enjoyed making little gifts this year and more of my family will be getting hand made next year.
So if you have forgotten a gift l am sure you will have something in the craftroom you can alter/make and l look forward to seeing it on your blog.

Merry Christmas to all my crafty Friends xxx

Inspired by my buddy Sam

Hi there my lovely crafty friends, hope you are all well. I am just popping in very quickly to share this card l made yesterday - the lovely Sam Whisper  has been having a bit of a spend lately and when l saw she had bought SB bauble dies the nightmare came flooding back.....l bought a similar set a few years back and l don't think l have ever used them as they have not inspired me.  I reached behind me and pulled them out of my die box and was determined to do something with them - the first make was a bit of a disaster but will do as a tag - l might share it another day.
So this is what l did.... cover the bauble with distress ink and stamped a few clarity stamps here and there - love that tiny holly stamp which l also used to create a border around the main base matt that l also inked with the same distress ink. Dotty paper and sentiment from LOTV, A sprinkle of glamour dust, a squirt of stickles a bit of ribbon and a gem and Bob's your Uncle Fanny's is your Aunt .....this expression does make my grandaughter chuckle mischievously :)

Thanks Sam - hope l have given you some inspiration too x Susan x

Spare Baubles

Hello my lovely crafty friends, l hope you are all well. Are you ready for christmas? l have tried to plan and prepare at a steady pace but a nasty cough and cold has slapped me in the face and slowed me right down but after a couple of mornings in bed l am hoping l have shaken it off but will keep taking the medicine for a little while longer.
My grandaughter finishes school friday lunchtime so that may be a baking day.

This year l bought far more baubles than l needed so my girls took them for their trees but l still had a bag left from last years - l kept looking at them and thinking..... a trip to the allotment where l knew l had holly with berries, a bit of pine and conifer, a coat hanger and a bit of ribbon and this is what l made.

I have never made a wreath before and l am quite pleased with the result, l think l will be looking around the sales for cheap baubles and raiding the wardrobe for wire hangers to make them for family next year.  I have hung it by the door - What do you think???

I would like to enter this into the following challenge

Allsorts Challenge 289

Hope you are all having a good weekend and your christmas plans are all on track.  Saturday again and that means the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week my lovely teamie Jo is the host and she has chosen
White Christmas
Now l don't mind a bit of snow but l hope it waits until Christmas Eve when all my deliveries are done and food supplies are in the cupboards.  So for this challenge we want to see your white projects, l struggle with white but am quite pleased with  how this turned out.  I bought the poinsettia corner (Memory Box) die in October at Harrogate and this is the first time l have used it - it was one of those purchases that l had to have but when l got it was not sure what to do with it. Hope you like it.

Quick Makes

Hello my lovelies, hope you are all well and keeping calm for christmas.... I am almost done and am quite pleased that everything is wrapped, just need to make a few tags.
I have run out of cards but still have a bit of time left.
I am trying to make a few gifts as well which l will share later.
Today l am sharing some cards l made with a little set from Stampin Up, l have made a wreath with the Pine Cone stamp and then a garland, the poinsettia flower one is from the stamp set too.
The weather here is atrocious tonight and l had intended popping over to LOTV for the late night as l would have loved to see the shop light up but l am not braving the weather :(

The flowers are so sparkly and the photo does not show it
