Gems, glamour dust, twine.

I decorated a MDF organiser box. First l painted it with furniture paint then when dry l used an ink duster brush to apply the purple Adirondak ink. Next, l stamped the sentiment and flowers ect and added the die cuts. A touch of glamour dust on the flowers. I added the twine to make a handle and secured it using a heat gun.
I made a friend a similar one last year in white as a gift but added colour to this one which l am going to keep.

March Penny Black & More Challenge

Hello my lovely crafty friends. The first sunday of the month is here so time for the new challenge over at Penny Black & More @ Allsorts and this month the challenge is

Anything Goes (must be stamped)

The Design Team have been hard at work with their Penny Blacks and have some gorgeous inspiration to share with you over on the challenge blog here along with all the details.  You can used any brand of stamp except digi (NO DIGI IMAGES), the focal point of your project must be stamped to be in with a chance of winning one of our fabulous prizes. One lucky winner using a Penny Black stamp will be chosen to be a Guest Designer on a future challenge.

It is quite a while since l bought any new stamps so recently had a little spend on a few PB's and this gorgeous stamp has been on my wish list for a while. I inked it up with distress inks then spritzed it with water and stamped on water paper. When dry l added a few beads to look like the poppy centre, quite pleased with the result.

We have had some gorgeous bright spring days this week but with an early frosty start to most days. The snowdrops are in full bloom and the daffs are poking their heads up, l am looking forward to seeing what else is growing in my new garden.

Whatever you are doing this weekend have fun, l am hoping to make a start on preparing my veg garden from the enormous mound of soil the landscaper left when doing some work on the garden.  I have bought a few fruit trees and strawberry plants all ready so watch this space lol.
Hubby is busy reducing the 100+ conifers from approx 12-15 ft down to a more manage height - he has never done as much in a garden in the 21 years we have been married and he seems to be enjoying himself just so long as he remembers how is the boss in the garden.
