Autumn Leaves

It has been a while since l have made a card just for the fun of it and l so enjoyed making this card, especially as there is a real feel of autumn in the air.  The temperature has dropped dramatically these lat few days and the wind is swirling all the leaves around and the conkers are starting to fall too.  I have just had a lovely walk with Toby around Oakwell Hall countryside park which is just down the road from me, it is a good hour walk all the way around with footpaths and bridges crossing the streams and valleys. l loved all the different colours of leaves as they are starting to change colour from green to reds golds and browns and all the different berries which will be feeding the birds over the coming months.

Wedding Couple

Hope you are all well.  So much for me having a bit more crafty time - back to cooking and freezing, l have a mass of plum ready to pick, so for the last couple of days l have been making plum jam. I need a couple of bits from the supermarket tomorrow then l will be on with plum chutney as well as freezing plums to stew during the winter. The courgettes are almost finished so have been making spicy tomatoe and courgette soup and freezing that too.  Each morning when l take Toby out l collect a tub of wild blackberries and freeze those ready for jam/pie/crumble making in the winter too.
Made it out of the kitchen and into the craft room last night to make this card for a wedding my niece is going too this weekend.

Dreams & Wishes

Hello everyone, sorry l have not been doing my usual rounds of visits lately, l am hoping to get back on track now that school has returned and the growing season in the allotment is almost over and preparations for next year are well under way.  It has been a fantastic year - one of the best we have had in the fifteen years, we are picking plums this week and still have plenty of cabbage, runner beans and swedes to keep us going and it looks like l am going to have loads of butternut squash after last years plants failed to produce.

I had a good few hours in my craft room last night, this little beauty has been stamped up a while just waiting patiently to be coloured. The stamp is from Sugar Nellie's latest release Return to Fairy Glen and she is called Dreams & Wishes and is lovely to colour.
