I have had a wonderful week, l have been friends with my crafting buddy for about 12 years and we have never met up....this week Janice came to visit and l was so excited to finally meet her, what a lovely lady. We just chatted for hours and l know it is a friendship that will last a lifetime :)

The weather has been gorgeous up here this week if not a bit too hot so l will be outdoors for the day pottering about in the garden. I have just been sitting in the garden with my morning cuppa just listening to the birds and feeling blessed, even though we have had many difficult times. Whatever you are doing have a great time.

Allsorts Challenge 415

It is saturday again and that can only mean the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week my lovely teamie Brenda is the host and she has chosen
Ring A Ring Of Roses

We want to see roses on your creation. Check out what my lovely teamies have to share with you here along with all the challenge details.

Stamp Papermania - Henbury
Coloured with copics
Papers Dovecraft
Gems. Ribbon, stickles.

We have two lovely prizes this week, a pretty paper pad by Dovecraft

and a beautiful stamp by Heartfelt Creations.

The stamp l have used for todays card has been in my unused box for ages and l thought it would be perfect for this challenge....quite a bit of rubber forms the image - if you know what l mean, so l first stamped with clear the used a green WOW embossing powder but it did not work with my copics and left an awful muddy mess. Next plan was use Momento London Fog which is a grey and worked better than the black. I found this a very difficult one to colour.

I am late preparing my post today, having a lovely day hopefully in the garden as the forecast is good for today. We have had some gorgeous weather this week and l am loving seeing what is growing in my new garden. I have bought a few new shrubs but am having a bit of a problem - one l have never had before. As the garden is so big l am struggling on where to put my plants and just seem to wander around for ages then end up putting them back in the wheelbarrow. The cherry blossom is absolutely full of blossom which started to fall in yesterdays breeze but l think the prettiest of all is the apple blossom. The veg plot l built is doing very well, l think the beans and peas need to be started off in cells to keep the mice away.

As you can see in the photo above my little Rosie has been to play. She loves to play Ring O Ring A Rosie with Grandma.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing.

Hope to see you over on the challenge x Susan x

I am looking forward to the summer months and seeing poppies in the fields, at the moment we have lots of gorgeous yellow gorse on the hills and hedges - it looks very pretty but have you ever tried to cut it from your hedges ?? It is razor sharp and thorns that cut your hands to shreds, My neighbours say the farmer will cut the hedges at the bottom of the garden for a fee in the autumn. Nature is the most wonderful thing and the seasons just make me smile thinking of them, even though l love my winter holidays in the sun - l can't imagine life without seasons.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comments x Susan x

Before l go l must tell you about our Special Birthday here at Allsorts in two weeks time. We have a super treat for every entry - come back and join us for more details.

Hope you have all had a good week, l can't believe the contrast in weather just over a week ago we had freezing temperatures and snow and this week it has been wall to wall sunshine every day and we have had the loungers out. Our garden faces south and is a suntrap, we just sit and listen to the birds as we have at least 6 pairs of blackbirds nesting in one of our hedges - the young ones are out of the nests hopping around waiting to be fed. We have lots of different birds including one of my favourites the Curlew which flies over regularly to the fields over our hedge. Years ago we came up to the highlands every spring bank to bird watch and now it is on our doorstep - feeling blessed.  We make the most of the quiet before the grandchildren come after school.
Whatever you are upto this week hope it is a good one.
Hope to see you over on the challenge x Susan x
