LOTV Love Balloon

Hello me lovelies hope you are all having a good weekend.  I have had a busy few days and need to do a bit of catching up - oh the joys of school holidays not. My little grandson (5) phoned today and told me he is coming to have sleepover tonight, he is a very early riser 5-6am so l won't be missing the lost hour :(
On with the card today and l have made this for my hubby, it is our anniversary at the end of the month and l have been itching to use this new stamp l bought on my last visit to LOTV.

Edit....It has taken over an hour to post this and was not able to link up until sunday morning, my internet connection is terrible on a weekend and evening so if l don't get around to you sorry but hope l will eventually x Susan x

Thorny Affair

Hope you are all keeping warm and safe. The snow is still with us and the pavements are very bad but so far l have managed to stay on my two feet.
Had a busy day - the car went for its first MOT and passed - phew how relived am l, the thought of motor bills is not one l want at the moment. Got home and my package from my follower candy win at LOTV had arrived and WOW . 7 single stamps, a stamp sheet and some die cuts - how lucky am l, thanks LOTV.    Took Toby to his training - he just loves all the treats he gets and is not too interested in working for them lol, then on the way home found £10 on the pavement must be my lucky day (maybe my £130 that blew out of cash machine and never to be seen again cash will blow back to me too).  I am putting the whole tenner on lucky dips on friday and l can just see the headlines -
 Lucky £10 find turns into multi millions... just think l could have all the craft stash l ever wanted and invite you all around to play. So time to stop dreaming and get on with the card. This is one of the two Penny Black stamps l bought at Harrogate in J&C Creations reduced box - love a bargain.

Vintage Eleanor

This is my first attempt at vintage, l have admired lots of lovely vintage cards you talented bloggers have made but just not quite known where to start. Do you think it is vintage enough ?? I bought these gorgeous papers from Craftwork Cards at Harrogate the other week and this gorgeous stamp is from the new range at Crafters Companion. The crackle background is a stamp l have had a few years and never used - shame on me but it is just perfect for the vintage effect and hey presto here is the card completed.

My neighbour is studying photography and asked if l would allow her friend to photo me making a card for her photo assignment which is then going on display at an exhibition at a pop up gallery in the town centre - some would say l am always making an exhibition of myself lol, the only downside is l will just have to straighten up my crafty stash a bit.  I thought this card would be ideal as the colouring is quite minimal but looks pretty when finished so l will recreate it for the photo shoot at the weekend.

Perfect Weather for Crafting

Another bitter cold day with lots of snow on the ground and it looks like my car will stay on the drive for a few more days - a perfect excuse to stay in and craft :)

Will This Snow Ever Stop

It looks like another day indoors as there is no let up in this snow, poor Toby the snow is deeper than him and l hate going out in it.
I always seem to get very bad headaches when it snows, l think it must be the glare, thank goodness we have plenty of painkillers in.
Enough moaning and on with the card, l have seen quite a few cards around the land of blog recently with the image being almost they only thing on the card so thought l would give it a go and l quite like the effect. This is one of the stamps l bought on my last visit over to LOTV.

Stay home and craft

The weather here today is atrocious, my grandaughter has been here today so we have just stayed snug in the craft room and played - she brought her new Penny Black stamp she bought at Harrogate last weekend and we have made easter cards.

House Mouse Cosy Roost

Hello me lovelies hope you are all well. How changable the weather is - yesterday snow, today blue sky and sunshine and tomorrow snow forecast again. I normally have lots of seeds started off on the greenhouse by now but l have not even started, plenty of time yet l suppose.
Anyway onto the card, l have made this one for the challenge over at House Mouse where the theme is ribbons and pearls - l bought these pearl medallions at Harrogate at the weekend from the Hobby House stand 25 in a pack for only £1.60 and they are so pretty and l will be using them often.

Midway reminder Penny Black & More @ Allsorts

Betsy Bluebell

Hello my lovely blogging friends and welcome to my new followers Nikki & Iulia.  We have been having internet problems again this week with very limited access and it is sooo frustrating waiting and waiting for pages to load so sorry if l have not visited and l have lots to catch up on too. So moan over.... I have been to Harrogate today to the papercraft show with my grandaughter, we had a good time and spent all our money l was a bit disappointed that there just does not seem to be many stamps around these days as the trend seems to be dies. I bought some pieces from the MDF man and hope to make a few pieces as gifts. I did buy a couple of PB's from JC Creations, they had reduced wood mounted ones by 40% - bargain. I bought some dies too it would have been very rude to come home without any...
I made this card earlier in the week using Penny Blacks Betsy Bluebell and for all you Penny Black lovers the challenge is still running at Penny Black and More @ Allsorts where the theme this month is One for the Boys and there is still plenty of time to entry with a chance to some fabby prizes.
