Christmas Dance

I am so pleased all the white stuff underfoot has almost gone, hope you have not been affected by the floods predicted from the thaw.
Last week was quite hectic looking after grandchildren most days and l am hoping for a quieter week and a bit more time for crafting and visiting you all.  I started this card yesterday playing about with various papers until l made me mind up and finished off the colouring today.
Aren't LOTV the cutest girlies, just love em.

All White and Fluffy

As predicted the snow came fast and furious last night adding to that already on the ground.  My puppy Toby is enjoying bouncing around in it so with the help of my grandaughter holding his lead l took a few pics.

Hello me lovlies.  Hope you are all keeping warm and safe, we still have lots of snow underfoot and forecast is for more tomorrow :( I have had a busy week looking after grandchildren all week so not had much time to myself. l needed get well  card for my neighbour so had to be a quick one - she went to the Canaries for new year and ended up falling off a stage on new years eve and breaking her ankle she had to have plates put in and unfortunately has become badly infected so she has been in hospital here for a week.

Apple Blossom

Hope you are all keeping safe in this winter weather.  We have had a deep covering and all the schools are back open today, the sun is shining at the moment so hopefully that will help with the thaw.  I managed a couple of hours in the craft room last night with the door closed and Bob Marley singing away, it was lovely not to be disturbed and l really enjoyed making this card.  I bought this stamp last year and this is the first time she has seen ink, l kept to the pink theme and these apples are Pink Ladies lol.

Michael had his night out on friday leeds to manchester in a stretch hummer then went to see Lion King then home Again in the hummer. Thank you for all the lovely comments - l was worried with the weather but the roads were ok despite the snow and he had a fantastic time - lucky devil x

Oh so cold outside

Winter has arrived today, this is the first time l have felt really cold this winter and l expect to wake to snow tomorrow. With that in mind my card today is quite appropriate don't you think lol.
Hope you are all keeping wrapped up and the weather is a perfect excuse to stay inside and craft.  I have had a busy week and not managed to do all l wanted and still have a bit of catching up to do but will get there eventually.

Whimsy Sun Kissed

Good evening everyone, what a contrast in brightness today - a beautiful bright crisp day whereas yesterday was so grey.
I have had this gorgeous Whimsy stamp for a while and not used it so time to get it out and ink it up.  It is good to get back into my craftroom to play , usually when Toby has had walkies and is tired out lol.

First Christmas of 2013

Hello everyone, last night l started to try to catch up with you all but Mr Blogger had the brakes on and it was taking so long to load each page then an age to leave comments l gave up after almost 2 hours.

I was thinking last night when trying to blog...... l wonder if you have a fav film you like to watch over the holidays??? l have 3 that take it in turns and they are Gone with the Wind, Dr Zhivago and the very old Black and White film of  Wuthering Heights with the Laurence Olivier at his best (just my opinion). I have often walked on the Moors at Haworth as it is only about 45 mins from here but have never heard Cathy or Heathcliff calling each other. This year it was Wuthering Heights DVD to come out of the cupboard.

Anyhow enough ramblings and on with the card - this is one of the House Mouse stamps l bought from my dear friend Angie.  It is so grey and dull today l have struggled to get a decent photo - this is the best l could manage

Happy New Year

Good evening everyone, hope you all had a peaceful Christmas and best wishes for 2013.  My christmas  was quiet with the exception of boxing day when our daughters and husbands came along with our 5 grandchildren, it is the only time they are all together. Our eldest grandchild Caitlin celebrated her 10th birthday this week too and tells me she feels very old.
On christmas day l took Toby for his first walk which felt special - l took him over the road to the cemetery to my son David's grave to have my quite time alone.  Toby is now fully recovered and the vet is very pleased with his recovery, thank you for all your kind messages.
I have not spent much time in my craft room lately and need to get back into it, l have made this card for an old friend who moved last year so may not have received my christmas card as it went to her old address.  A few weeks ago l saw a beautiful card using this Penny Black stamp and l remembered stamping it then covering it in beads - it took me three hours one day when l had no mojo but just needed time away on my own and l never made it up into a card so it was perfect for a New Years card.
