House Mouse Throwing Daisy Petals

What a scorcher today has been, too hot to sit in and too hot to do any HW.  Last night l had 6 quick cards to make for my daughters friend - she had seen the cupcake card and in my daughters words wants something similar all the same but different??? and all with 13 on, well where do you start with that one, anyway lady has them and was very happy and as l donate my money to charity she happily paid almost double.

This week has been very difficult for me as tomorrow 24th would have been my son Davids 17th birthday and it is the first birthday without him and to say l miss him is an understatement. I wanted a very quiet week and it has turned out anything but - with appointments and visitors, unexpected cards and wishes. I hope to do something special with my other son tomorrow evening.

On with the card, my grandaughters teacher also has a birthday tomorrow and she wanted a card with her age on - just hope the teacher is telling the truth.

Twas The Night

Second posting today. Well l got into a right old inky mess with this one.  I used a brayer but would really like to have a go with ink dusters and they are on my wish list as l have quite a few stamps l would like to make scenes with.  When l saw the challenge Twas the night l remembered getting the verse stamp last year. LOTV Balloon Bear

Mice Landing

Good evening everyone, hope you have all enjoyed some of todays sunshine and wrapped up against the nip in the air.  I have had a good couple of hours in the allotment, the strawberry bed is looking fantastic and full of flower so hoping for a good crop, planted some beetroot seeds, just need some warm weather now.
Onto todays card - How cute is this little fella - l can tell you l love the stamps but the real thing just make me shudder, l am petrified of them and living close to fields they like to seek refuge in my greenhouse occasionally.

Not going to plan

I am missing my little meeces today - had a busy morning with jobs around the house/garden, then a meeting which l thought was at 3 but peeps arrived just after 1 so l did not get any crafting done this afternoon :( Tuesday night is slimming night so l made a couple of quick cards to add to the basket which l am starting to take with me, all the money goes to Martin House Childrens Hospice.
I had 2 HM stamps out on my desk ready to go, one only needs a little colouring and the other one quite a bit but not even had time to ink them so tomorrow l am going to play all day.

Sweet Success

Second post today as having a day off HW. Managed a couple of hours in the allotment this afternoon, it was blustery but peaceful and quiet not like my house while the footie is on the telly. Has the season finished now??

Maxwells Pet

Hope you are all having a good weekend so far. My eldest grandaughter has been for the day, this morning we went around to the allotment - she has her own little space too, we planted out the broad beans, onions and radish. If anyone has a giant rabbit who would like to nibble on some giant dandelions l know the perfect place lol.   We are a bit behind this year with the rubbish weather so have been planting seed in the green house. I managed to make this card while she had a play on the playstation, she normally like to make cards but was not interested today.

House Mouse

Here is my second post today - have finished my duties, collected Michael so it is G&T time.
My Lovely friend Angie has collected House Mouse stamps for years and has ?? probably hundreds - today l bought 25 from her and have promised to love and cherish them as l know she will miss them - so for the next 25 days l will make a card every day with a different HM stamp then l can log them and box them safely away ready to use whenever.  It was difficult to choose which one to use first as they are all so cute. Sweet Cherry Pip

Hope you have had some good weather today, it has been mostly bright here today with just the odd showers and the wind ..oh my, l thought the rotary drier was going to take off never to be seen again it has been spinning at 100 MPH for most of the day.
Today l have met up with my 2 special crafty friends x If you are reading this Angie l am taking good care of your babies and they are settling in nicely, it is hard seeing a lady close to tears when parting with precious stamps - Thanks Angie x  I will post the card with the first stamp later tonight..

My New Home

It is almost cold enough to have one of these homes lol only the rain would soon wash it away.  I have had this LOTV stamp for ages and the first time l stamped it just did not know where to start colouring it but problem solved as l had a good look at the one on show at the LOTV shop at the weekend, it is the face on the first penguin it just seems odd with the eyebrow so high.

Tilda on Bauble

Well that is another cold and wet bank holiday over with.  My son had a great time on his 3 day scout camp and generous boy did not bring any dirty washing back.... he came home in the same clothes he went in, thoughtful don't you think?? The main thing was he had a good time and came home safely and l have missed him so much.  I have had a couple of days cleaning his pit while he was away.

I stamped Tilda then masked her and stamped the bauble and cut out when l had coloured it and decided not to mount it in a shape but to place directly on backing paper and l think it looks ok.

All Our Yesterdays

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying this long weekend. It feels really strange here, with Michael away at camp the house seems so quiet, my hubby golfed this morning so l had the house all to myself and ended up doing what most of us do with a empty house - cleaning........ oh and finished off this card l started on last night.
This afternoon we have been to my grandaughters 2nd Birthday tea party - she will be thinking life is one big party as she had one at my house on thursday - her official birthday, probably had one at nursery on friday and one at home today.

May Challenge over at Penny Black & More @ Allsorts

Time for the new challenge over at Penny Black & More @ Allsorts this month where the challenge for May is London Celebrations. Fizzy Moon Thanks a Bunch

Had a good time this morning when my friend Julie and l went over to the Lili of the Valley open weekend, l only live 20 mins away so not much of a journey.  The shop was very busy and it was lovely to be in the same space as so many enthusiastic crafters and what made my morning was l got to meet Dawny P - she is such a lovely down to earth lady and gave me so much inspiration - if you are reading this Dawn (remember me with the comment of the rosy cheeks - a well slapped a..e)

LOTV New Hat

Well here l am back after the trauma of not being able to get on my blog this morning.  I have spent the last couple of hours trying to catch up with you all.
Glimey it is cold tonight and my son has gone off on a scout camp (tents) until monday teatime, l looked at the kit he got out and redid it for him putting in vests and warm trackies and making sure he has his long sleeve thermal vest on - chances are he won't change clothes for 3 days (past experience tells me he won't ) he has his thick padded coat on but would not take a hat. Hot bath will be waiting for him when he comes home x

Blog Problems

I have had some probs this morning and l don't know if anyone else has, hopefully l have solved it. I won a challenge and added blinkie to my blog then probs started l had a malicious software message and could not access my blog it appears that Shabby Blogs has a problem - l deleted the blinkie and still could not gain access properly and as my background is a shabby blogs l have deleted that too and can now access with no probs. Several hours wasted and have to dash to a training day now and will be back tonight (all being well) x Susan x

Just Buzzin By

Good evening everyone, thought l would have to miss tonight as all electrics went off locally,  lit  lots of candles then the lights came back on - think l might save the candles for saturday as our son is camping this weekend and l can't remember the last time we had a romantic candle lit night for two.
On with todays card - l do love my hedgies l just think they are so cute and they are a must have - l remember a trip to the NEC a couple of years ago on a mini bus with crafty friends and they all wanted to know how many hedgie stamps l had bought - well they all had a good laugh cos l bought loads.
I started to sew around this card but the thread kept jamming underneath so l pulled it out and used machine to make needle holes instead.  The photo does not do this card justice as the backing papers are delish, they are glittered in parts and glossed too they are from a colorbok pad l bought in America two years ago.

Dangling Tilda

What a cold miserable day - enough said
on with the card, yet another of my unused stamps, this Tilda come from a club set about 2 years ago and so far l have only used one of the Tilda's from it. When you see them on the sheet they don't look too interesting but thought it was about time l started to use them.
