Allotment Diary - Thought l would need my waders today with all the rain as l have not been around for a few days. No floods but the slugs and snails have been helping themselves to my newly planted sweet corn and sprouts (which were netted against the birds), l am always reluctant to put pellets down but l will have nothing left if l don't. Planted some celery which was surplus to requirements from my allotment buddy next door he also gave me 3 aubergine plants, l have put 1 in greenhouse at home and planted 2 out not too sure they will grow outside. My strawberries are going to be amazing this year.

I'm very jealous of your allotment - I have a little greenhouse but have only managed tomatoes this year. With everything going on earlier in the year I forgot all about my seeds!!
