Allsorts Challenge 430

It is saturday again and that can only mean the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week my lovely teamie Wendy is the host and she has chosen
Ribbons - More Than Just A Bow
Check out what my lovely teamies have to share with you here along with all the challenge details.
I did make a card a few weeks back with christmas ribbons but was not entirely happy with it so decided to have a look around pinterest for some ideas and saw some lovely ribbon trees. These were a bit fiddly and perhaps l need a bit of practice - but here they are. I painted a twig with some acrylic paint and popped some pine cones from the garden in a vase and hey presto the start of the christmas table decoration.

We have some lovely ribbons as this weeks prize,
I am looking forward to seeing lots of different creations for this challenge.

Hope to see you over on the challenge x Susan x

stickles, embossing powder, glossy accents
ribbon

We have a lovely prize for a lucky winner, check out the challenge post for details.

We were very excited last night to see a red squirrel in our garden.  When we moved here in december all our neighbours said they don't get them in our village anymore. I keep looking out for signs in the woods over the road as there are lots of pine trees that they love, but no sign. We often see them running across the road when we go down into town. Hubby dashed over to Elgin - 25 mile round trip to get peanuts to entice it back.  We don't get the grey squirrels up here just the gorgeous little red squirrels - in fact, if you see a grey you have to report it. Hopefully it will come back and become a regular visitor so l can get a photo to share.

Hope to see you over on the challenge x Susan x

Allsorts Challenge 428

It is saturday again and that can only mean the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week it is my turn to host and l have chosen
Name &/Or Number
So either a name or number or both so long as they are clearly visible on your project.
Check out what my lovely teamies have to share with you here along with all the challenge details.

Stamp LOTV
Coloured with copics and prisma pencils
Papers LOTV
air dry clay, banner mould by Katy Sue Designs
Ribbon, lace, stickles

I made this card for my Grandaughter Esther a while back and as Esther (7) has been known to be a bit stroppy l thought this image perfect as l could imagine her kicking her pressie if it was not what she wanted....sure enough Esther noticed and asked 'Grandma why does she look angry'.......Fortunately she loved all her pressies.

We have a lovely prize from Marianne Designs for one lucky winner.

Good in the garden this week
I have a few Rowan Trees in the garden and the berries are looking stunning at the moment and seem to change colour daily. Apparently Wax Wings arrive in winter so we will be hoping to see them taking the berries.

Allsorts Challenge 427

It is saturday again and that can only mean the start of the new challenge over at Allsorts.  This week my lovely teamie Mervi is the host and she has chosen
Colours of Your Flag
Check out what my lovely teamies have to share with you here along with all the challenge details.
I was born and bred in Bradford and lived there for 55 years before moving up to Scotland last december - so should l do red, white and blue or opt for blue and white the colours of the Scottish flag.  As most of my teamies are England l went for 2nd option. Here it is although l don't think the white shows up too well - it is quite pretty IRL.

Stamp Funky Flowers by Aspects of Design
Sentiment LOTV embossed with midnight sapphire
White embossing powder
distress ink
Stickles, ribbon, gem

We have been generously sponsored by DigiStamp Boutique.

Now back to the midge saga l told you about last week....off l tottled to Boots and bought repellant, bite cream and anti histamines then l ordered a head net to wear in the garden.....had a lovely evening on wednesday, 4 hours gardening and not a single bite but l looked a bit of a sight covered up head to toe ....the blighters are not getting me again.

Hope you all have a good week whatever you are up too. Hopefully we might see the sun again after days of rain.
Hope to see you over on the challenge x Susan x
