Continuing with my quest to get my christmas cards done early this year l went for this sweet polar bear stamp from LOTV, the gorgeous sentiment is from the new christmas release which l bought on pre release along with a few other PB's that just happened to fall in my basket from Crafts U Love, l can see lots of use from the set this year.

As l prepare this post l am looking out on the garden and it definately looks like autumn has arrived. The rowan tree is full of red berries and the leaves are turning the most beautiful golden /orange shades. I have managed to collect quite a few seed heads to store ready for next year. I have decided to grow more flowers for cutting in the veg garden next year and cut back on the veg. The onions have been a disaster again this year so will free up that space.

We have two lovely stamps as prizes this week.

 

Last year l bought a plant from outside a garden, l saved some seed and had loads of plants this year. It is similar to the chinese lantern flower except this has green/lack lanterns from which a blue flower grows, they then dry to a beautiful lantern. It makes a good garden filler. I planted some at my daughter's school and they are looking splendid - perfect for the children to decorate at christmas when dried.

Hope you pop over to the challenge blog and join in the fun. We are now back to the challenge every week.

I reckon the best of summer is now over and it has been hot hot hot, the nights are starting to close in and there is a nip in the evening air. Last year l was attacked everytime l went out of the house by midges because it was humid, still and very damp - so far this year l have not needed my head net or head to toe covering. I think the hot weather and the strong winds we have been getting is keeping them away.....hopefully. 
My garden has been amazing and the border looks like it has been there for years and not just the 18 months since we started it. I have been moving a few plants around to better position them and yesterday l bought my first lot of tulip bulbs ready for november planting - l have gone for Queen of The Night which is a deep purple and Mistress which is a light pink, along with more alliums. I am keeping to a colour scheme this time and just need some white lily tulips to complete....so excited and can't wait to see them in bloom....sad or what??? It is the little things that make me happy :)
