Belated Birthday

I have got a bit behind over the last week and missed a couple of birthdays. I have been looking after the grandchildren a bit more than usual and school holidays and before you know it the dust is an inch thick lol.

A belated card for my friend Carole, l will see her on weds when l go back to Zumba for the first time since David's accident last April - hopefully l will get back into the moves.

 This is Esther - she decided to wear her yoghurt instead of eating it, l had only turned my back a minute to wash up, Esther rolled up he sleeves and tipped her entire yogurt on her tray and covered her arms and face - her face was lovely and fresh after l cleaned her up - perhaps l should try it too x Susan x

Happy Valentine to you all x Did you all get a card??? Mine is still in the shop - if they have any left lol.Update got card, chocs and flowers.
 I am really missing my son David today as he always made me a card, last year he made one and l told him he should be making them for girlfriends and not me, he always used to write Roses are Red Violets are blue, you are my Mum and l love You x I may find last years and put it up, l will take some flowers to the cemetry today for him.

I made this card last night for my husband and l think it is rather sweet, hope you agree. I made the background paper by stamping a gorgeous little heart stamp from a Stampin Up set and distress around the edges.

Snowy

I am pleased that the the snow has disappeared under foot and our snowman in the garden has almost gone, this snowman on my card will not be disappearing though - Snowy is my fav snowman stamp and he is from Penny Black.
The tickets for the Harrogate Show went on sale at the end of last week along with the breakfast workshops - I booked straight away as Bev Rochester is doing a workshop for LOTV colouring with promarkers and this will book up very quickly - l only possess 1 promarker (satin) as l use copics, l suppose the principle of shading and blending is the same.  LOTV are also opening a shop only 15mins from me on 5th March so l will be putting that date in my diary for a visit.

Lots of Layers

Hope you have all had a good crafty weekend x We normally have family on Sunday for lunch (not literally) but they came yesterday so we have had a day to ourselves for a change. Managed a card this afternoon and just playing catch up on here.  Michael has a Wi in his room so we have been doing a bit of snowboarding and l don't think l will qualify for the winter Olympics... ever. x l just keep getting covered in snow lol.
Anyway on with the card. The challenge over At Crafty Emma's store this week is lots of layers - not a difficult one when you love your papers and as my sis needed baby cards this week l went for a simple stamp and layout.

Friday Feeling???

Not quite got the feeling yet but l am planning a relaxing weekend starting with a lie in tomorrow. My teenager has finished school for half term and will not be wanting to get out of bed before mid morning so l think l will be a teenager for the next 10 days lol.

I made this card a few days ago for the Colour Create challenge which is browns and as we have a friends birthday next week this will be suitable for him.
It is not the best of photos as the flash is refelecting. The background is brayered in Adirondak Mushroom and the stamps are Inkylicious Moonlight foliage also stamped in mushroom. The sentiment is also from Inkylicious. I have used a cream pearlescent card for matting.

Romance is in the Air

As it is approaching Valentines l thought l had better get me finger out and make a card, although it is far too mushy for my hubby so it is for various challenges instead. I enjoyed making this card but when l had finished it the heart doily was still on my desk - thank goodness for pinflair that is all l can say so l whipped the image off before it set.

I have used this stamp a couple of times before and always enjoyed colouring this Tilda. The gorgeous ribbon l used l have had for ages and made a little frilly thingie with it and attached a pearl heart to the centre.
Stamp, image, sentiment and papers from Magnolia. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and stash. Heart lace doily, cuttlebug corner die, stickles and gems. Coloured with copics and Prisma pencils.

Little Elf Finn

Hope you have all had a good weekend, they just seem to go so quickly. Welcome to my new followers - thank you for following me and l hope you enjoy visiting.
 I just love this image designed by the very talented Mo Manning and produced by Penny Black, this little cutie is the double of my little grandaughter Esther so this card will be for her. I was a bit worried about colouring her as she is quite a large image and not as easy to cover any mistakes but l was very pleased with how it turned out even though it took me well over an hour to colour her. I used copics and then touched up with prisma pencils.

I think Mr Blogger is playing up as l seem to have two photos even though l have only added one then tried to take one of and it was not playing....
I have made this card for a Challenge over at Penny Black where the challebge was Case It and this is my take on it and hope it is ok.
